Appointment Pool
Can you make our school sparkle?
Kingston Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Cleaners for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2018 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2019. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2018 school year, up to the end of Term 1, 2019.
Suitable applicants will carry out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting and rubbish removal to ensure the school maintains a maximum standard of hygiene. In addition, to this, you will carry out external cleaning duties, including the sweeping of verandahs and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, removal of cobwebs and other general cleaning duties.
Kingston PS opened in 2009 and has a current student enrolment of 800 from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school is situated 180 km south of Perth and is located in Australind. There is strong community support for the school, where parents and the local community actively assist in school activities. Kingston has a strong whole school approach to Literacy, Numeracy and the Virtues project. The key virtues that underpin the school's ethos are Care, Courage, Respect and Excellence.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a ten (10) day breach period to this selection process.
