We’re looking for
A Senior Applications Developer to join our Business Information Systems Team.
This is a key role where will you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of applications that support web and portal services.
You will coordinate and assist with the configuration and support of computer systems, applications development, and provide support for Departmental software applications including social, collaborate and interactive browser based applications. You will also ensure continuity of application development and database support services, and provide advice to clients and departmental employees on various environments and computer applications.
This is an exciting opportunity to play an integral part in setting the direction of IT Applications that support DoT’s strategic plan.
We need someone who can
- Demonstrate experience in management and administration of online applications
- Demonstrate considerable experience with web related design technologies such as JavaScript, Classic ASP, ASP Dotnet, JQUERY, JSON, XML,VB, Bootstrap, Angular JS, SQL Server, REST API programing etc.
- Develop innovative solutions to database performance and deadlock issues
- Manage multiple projects and prioritise critical tasks in a pressure environment with competing demands
- Communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders including industry and government bodies
Successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain a current National Police Clearance

- Considerable experience in the development and support of online service applications development and support environment within a large complex organisation.
- Considerable experience with web related design technologies such as javascript, Classic ASP, ASP Dotnet, JQUERY, JSON, XML,VB, Bootstrap, Angular JS, SQL Server, REST API programing etc.
- Knowledge and experience in Content Management Systems such as RedDot CMS.
