Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. Both of these options remain valid for a period of six (6) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
Position Profile: A Medical Physicist, with recent experience in the field of diagnostic radiology physics and radiation protection, is required to join the Clinical Physics Division of the Health Technology Management Unit which provides medical physics services to Royal Perth and Fiona Stanley hospitals in diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine and radiation protection.
Main responsibilities will be in the areas of diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, radiation protection for ionising and non-ionising radiation and radionuclide laboratory services at RPH and FSH. The successful applicant will work across both these hospital sites within a team of physicists and technical officers. Consequently the ability to work flexibly and have good interpersonal and team orientated skills are essential.
Applicants must be prepared to work with ionising radiation and perform some duties out of normal working hours. This post involves some patient contact.
