WHAT’S THE ROLE
The Injury Management Officer is responsible for performing a workers’ compensation and injury management function in accordance with the ‘Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981’ and the standards set by WorkCover WA and WorkSafe WA.
In collaboration with the Coordinator OSH Injury Management and the Manager Workplace Management and Governance, the role will be responsible for:
- Partnering with key business stakeholders
- Developing return to work and rehabilitation plans for injured and ill workers
- Conducting workplace incident investigations to ensure that the implementation of the correct strategies are established and maintained
- Maintaining comprehensive injury management case/file notes within InjuryConnect
- Collaboratively present quarterly workers compensation reports to internal and external key stakeholders outlining significant issues, outcomes and trends
- Conducting training on incident recording and reporting to key business stakeholder
- Ensures Department compliance with government and legislative requirements such as ‘Worker’s Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 1981, Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984.’

- Well organised with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities
- Advanced Work, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to work autonomously
This is a proactive and solution focused role which encompasses the provision of high level consultancy advice around complex OSH/IM matters.
WHAT ARE WE OFFERING
This is a Pool for temporary full time opportunities up to 30 July 2019 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
If you are suitable for this position you will be placed in a Pool from which appointments will be made for similar vacancies that arise within the next 12 months. If the appointment Pool is exhausted prior to the Pool expiry date, the Department reserves the right to supplement the Pool through further advertising.
