Conditions This is a full time, fixed term vacancy until 30 June 2020, with a possibility of extension. There will also be a Pool running for a period of 18 months from the initial appointment. Applicants deemed suitable will be placed into a pool where appointments may be considered for similar vacancies for full-time, part-time, fixed term or permanency.
Location This position is located in central Perth. You will be located near the underground rail link and within easy walking distance of the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts.
Job Description As one of the Museum’s Exhibition Team Leaders you will manage teams engaged in the development, production and delivery of innovative exhibitions and programs in a social, cultural and natural history Museum context. You will be highly motivated and experienced in leading multi-disciplinary teams working on significant capital exhibition projects, primarily related to the areas of Social and Environmental history, Geology and Aboriginal culture.
You will also have extensive demonstrated experience in coordinating iterative and highly collaborative design development stages, concurrent curatorial and content development activities, as well as collection management and production logistics to strict timeframes and budgets.
Driving specific exhibition projects forward, you will monitoring the schedule for all activities and keeping team members up to date on progress, key issues and deadlines is an important part of the position. The role works collaboratively with relevant internal and external stakeholders, contributors and contractors to identify and develop content and to monitor and report on exhibition progress and any associated impacts and to contribute to management strategy as relevant to specific exhibition developments.
