About the Role
Working closely with the Capital Works Branch, the Senior Procurement Officer (Capital) is responsible for completing the end to end procurement process for construction contracts. The Senior Procurement Officer (Capital) is required to understand and interpret construction documentation such as scope of works, specifications and technical drawings including compiling and issuing construction tender documentation to ensure the desired outcomes are achieved. As well as managing the procurement process for minor and major works contracts, you will engage key stakeholders and monitor and track contract deliverables to ensure compliance with policy and procedure and ensure VenuesWest achieves fit for purpose outcomes.
Please note this is not a supply chain role.
This is a full time, fixed term role to 30 October 2020 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. While the position will be based at HBF Stadium in Mt Claremont, the nature of this position is that it requires mobility directly to and between the VenuesWest portfolio of facilities when required.

About the Person
VenuesWest is seeking an individual who is experienced in the management and delivery of compliant government procurement processes for construction, minor works and good and services. The role requires the candidate to be attentive to detail in all deliverables as well as having excellent written and verbal communication skills. Stakeholder engagement is essential to this role and the ability to liaise, negotiate and manage expectations of both internal and external stakeholders.
