Are you a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic Visual Arts teacher?
Exmouth District High School (DHS) is seeking a highly competent, dedicated, creative and experienced Visual Arts teacher to join our school.
The successful applicant will ideally possess an in depth understanding of the current Western Australian Visual Arts curriculum and provide students with engaging and purposeful learning experiences to develop their understanding and appreciation of visual arts. The successful applicant will also have high expectations, a commitment to excellence, use a range of teaching strategies including Information Communication Technology (ICT) and the ability to establish and maintain a positive and engaging classroom-learning environment. To be successful in this role you will have a willingness to collaborate with all year level classroom teachers, initiate and coordinate classroom and whole school Visual Art projects and programs and be committed to working effectively as part of the wider community.
Exmouth DHS is a proudly Independent Public School with close to 480 students from Kindergarten - Year 12. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for fixed term appointments to other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
