Intelligent Transport Systems Integration & Performance Coordinator
In response to the growing concern around congestion, Main Roads Western Australia created a new Network Operations Directorate. The Network Operations Directorate’s key role is to optimise the performance of the existing road network to facilitate the movement of people and freight safely, reliably and efficiently throughout Western Australia.
Rapid advancements in technology are changing the transport landscape and are creating new challenges and opportunities for Main Roads. The Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Best Practice and Operations branch is responsible for keeping abreast of changes in the technological environment and implementing and managing ITS solutions that support the overall performance and effective utilisation of the State road network.
We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Main Roads team as Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Integration & Performance Coordinator.
About the Role
The ITS Integration & Performance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and undertaking specialist end-to-end system testing and integration of new ITS roadside assets. The successful candidate will monitor the performance of all ITS assets and services, as well as participate in the definition of improvement solutions for optimal and reliable operations. The ITS Integration & Performance Coordinator will also provide specialist technical advice and expertise to key stakeholders, and at times, collaborate with State, National and International transport authorities.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have substantial experience in the testing and system integration of ITS, as well as the ability to undertake technical troubleshooting for complex end-to-end ITS / SCADA assets and systems. You will have project and contract management experience, including the ability to manage resources within agreed allocations and manage employee behaviour, performance and development.
As this role will involve working with internal and external stakeholders, the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships is critical.
