ABOUT THE ROLE
The Residential Care Worker is responsible for working as a member of a team to achieve best outcomes for children and young people and providing group and individual therapeutic residential care to children and young people. You will assist in planning, developing and implementing activities for children and young people.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING
This is a Pool for permanent, temporary, casual, full time and part time opportunities.
If you are suitable for this position you will be placed in a Pool from which appointments will be made for similar vacancies that arise up until June 2020. If the appointment Pool is exhausted prior to the Pool expiry date, the Department reserves the right to supplement the Pool through further advertising.
Casual employees work on an irregular basis with no set hours and no expectation of ongoing work. A casual loading of 20% is applied to the standard hourly rate in lieu of leave entitlements.

CONDITIONS
To be considered for this position you must have:
- substantiated evidence of your eligibility to live and work in Australia
- see section 7 of the JDF for additional pre-employment requirementsA criminal record check and departmental check will be conducted prior to commencement.
This position incorporates flexible working arrangements which may include shift work. You will have the potential to earn the equivalent of a full time salary after penalties for shiftwork are taken into consideration.
