Frankland River Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher - Junior - to join their team.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate they can develop and implement creative and explicit learning programs that reflect whole school approaches to the teaching of Literacy and Numeracy and align to the Western Australian Curriculum.
The successful applicant will be willing to work as part of a highly collaborative team and embrace a curriculum leadership role in junior primary.
Applicants also need to be able to demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisation skills that lead to a supportive and safe learning environment.
Ideally, the teacher will demonstrate enthusiasm for working in a rural location and a desire to enhance student learning through the implementation of our school’s business plan.
They will need to display a wide repertoire of teaching strategies that embrace the differentiation of the Western Australian Curriculum.
Frankland River PS is an Independent Public School catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
At Frankland River PS, we seek to provide a holistic education that ensures relevant and meaningful learning opportunities for all our students. We are a small school with approximately 70 enrolments. This allows our teachers and support staff to build a strong rapport with our students, and for students from different year levels to build close relationships with each other. Our multi-age classes, embraced by the school and community, provide many valuable social and academic opportunities for our students, where they are constantly challenged and encouraged to become confident, independent learners and critical thinkers.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for fixed term or permanent appointments to other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
