The State Library of Western Australia seeks to treasure the stories of Western Australia, champion literacy and learning, cultivate creative ideas and lead the development of the Western Australian public library network.
Conditions
This is a part-time (0.5 FTE) 37.5 hours per fortnight, fixed-term vacancy, for a period of 6 months, with a possibility of extension.
The Library is subject to a 7 day rotating roster including weekends and evenings.
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Culture and the Arts Police Record Screening Policy.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the Culture and Arts Portfolio and/or the wider public sector which arise within a reasonable period of time. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered for fixed term, part- time and full- time positions.
Location
This position is located in central Perth within the Cultural Centre hub close to the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts.
