Role
The Investigation Services Directorate is accountable for delivering Misconduct Assessment, Investigations and Professional Misconduct Review services in accordance with the Departments policies and procedures.
The Principal Assessment Officer leads the initial collection and assessment of allegations of misconduct within the Department. The position receives records and assesses allegations of misconduct, making inquiries and assesses information from a variety of sources to the validity of allegations. In addition to this the Principal Assessment Officer refers matters to the applicable areas of Investigative Services for further action. The role provides high level support and advice to senior management on matters relating to misconduct.
Job related requirements
The successful applicant must hold or be able to obtain a NEGATIVE VETTING LEVEL ONE security clearance as a condition of employment and must maintain the clearance for the duration of their appointment.
