This is an “open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:
- The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis.
- Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
- Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/04/2020.
Applicants should note that the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children will cease operation in 2017, to be replaced by the Perth Children’s Hospital located in Nedlands. As a result permanent appointments will be required to change location as PMH based positions transition to PCH and there may also be some changes to the role at that time.
This transition may result in fixed term positions no longer being required; however, fixed term contracts of employment with a cessation date beyond the expected date of closure of PMH, will continue to be employed with WA Health for the period of your contract of employment.
At this time the level of work available to casual employees may diminish. You are encouraged to discuss this with the contact listed below.
Position Profile: This role assists in the achievement of safe and effective care for paediatric dental patients attending the Outpatient Dental Clinic and Dental Theatre.
Area Profile: The $1.2 billion Perth Children's Hospital is being built on the QEII Medical Centre site in Nedlands and will replace Princess Margaret Hospital as the State's dedicated children's hospital. The PCH will have 298 beds, 48 more than PMH and the design of the building allows for future expansion.
All specialist services currently provided by PMH will be available at the new PCH, with many clinical areas expanded including an increase in neonatal and oncology capacity, an expanded Surgical Day Stay Unit and the introduction of a High Dependency Unit alongside the Intensive Care Unit. The PCH will also have all the necessary specialised equipment for treatment and diagnosis, plus the teaching and research facilities staff need to meet their learning requirements.
Employee Benefits: In addition to the great salary our employees enjoy an amazing range of benefits which may include (in line with operational requirements):
- 9.5% employer contributed superannuation into a fund of your choice. For further information go to: http://www.treasury.wa.gov.au/superannuation.aspx
