Subject to confirmation of eligibility, the current district allowance payable for Broome is single rate $8,361 pa and dependent rate $16,722 pa.

The Sport and Recreation division of the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries is the lead agency responsible for the implementation of government policy and initiatives in sport and recreation in Western Australia. A key role is to contribute to the healthy lifestyle of Western Australians by increasing physical activity in the community through sport and recreation.
We are seeking a suitably qualified person to fill the position part-time 0.8 FTE of Regional Administration Officer based in our Broome office. The roster for this position will be by negotiation with the manager.
This position respond to public enquiries regarding the Department’s program and service delivery in the Kimberley region. They manage the day to day requirements of the Kimberley office, providing administrative support. They also assist with the planning and organisation of projects and events as required by the Regional Manager.
This position is fixed term for 6 months with a possibility of extension and/or permanency. At the conclusion of the initial engagement, an extension may be offered or the Department may choose to readvertise the opportunity.
Applicants considered suitable but not appointed may be offered other similar opportunities as they arise within the next six (6) months, in this agency or across the wider sector through a suitability list.
