The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions is seeking suitably qualified and experienced pilots to assist in fire detection activities within the Parks and Wildlife Service.
Appointments may be made from this process within a 12 month period to positions that may be full-time or part-time, permanent, casual, seasonal (with the possibility of re-appointment for subsequent seasons) or contract, including contract appointments with the possibility of subsequent permanency.

Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Pilot:
- Participates in flying operations in fixed wing light aircraft for fire suppression, detection, and reporting.
- Other flying duties as directed by the Chief Pilot.
Selection Criteria

Australian Commercial Pilots Licence with current Class 1 medical.
- Minimum 10 hours Pilot-in-Command aviation experience of Tailwheel aircraft.
- Current Australian Security Identification card.
- Tailwheel undercarriage endorsement.
- Current Dangerous Goods Awareness certificate.
Note: In accordance with relevant legislation and departmental policy, the successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current National Police Clearance prior to commencement.
