About the Role
VenuesWest requires professional and experienced Swim School Supervisors with great communication and interpersonal skills to join the Sport Recreation, Education and Childcare Programs Branch at VenuesWest.
Reporting to the Swim School Coordinator, you will be responsible for supervising the busy and expanding HBF Stadium Learn to Swim program. Liaising with children, parents and staff at one of WA’s leading sport, recreation and entertainment facilities will provide you with some fantastic opportunities. You will meet a variety of new people, work with a fantastic team and have the opportunity to grow.
VenuesWest currently has two roles available in our Swim School – one permanent part time position offering 22.5 hours per week and one fixed term part time role to September 2018 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency offering 20 hours per week.
The while the primary location of these positions will be HBF Stadium, the nature of the Swim School Supervisor role is that it may requires mobility between VenuesWest locations.

About the Person
The successful person will have demonstrated experience supervising a swim school.
The role requires an organised person with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within an established team. The Swim School Supervisor will build and maintain relationships not only with our casual and permanent staff, but also with our Swim School clients whilst ensuring that the swim school is run in an efficient, safe and cost-effective manner.
The successful person will currently hold the following qualifications:
- Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or equivalent) and Provide CPR (HLTAID001 or equivalent)
- Current AustSwim Certificate or RLSSA Swim Instructor Certificate
- Working with Children check.
The following qualifications would also be highly desirable:
- AustSwim Extensions (Adult or Preschool).
- Royal Life Saving Instructors/Examiners Award
