The Department of Education Services provides a number of services across the areas of:
- Regulation (registration around accreditation) to ensure compliance with state legislation and enhance public confidence in the quality and integrity of education and training.
- Review of Independent Public Schools.
- Funding to the non‑government school and university sectors and for various scholarship schemes.
- Policy, research, planning and legislative advice to support the Ministers, government and other bodies through the provision of expert advice to position the education and training systems to meet the needs of the state.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be appointed to other similar vacancies in accordance to Commissioners Instructions No 2. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Assistant Director Education Regulation will undertake key regulatory functions of the Directorate – Policy and Planning, Reviews, Registration and Quality Assurance. In the absence of the Director Education Regulation, this position will assist and undertake the duties of the Director as required.

Education
- A tertiary qualification in education and/or related experience in education leadership roles.
