This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2017
Make a difference and be part of a proud public school focussing on life-long learning
At Shenton College, outstanding academic results are just one part of the rich schooling experience we strive to deliver for each and every student. Successful Shenton students are not only academically able – they’re strong team members, they care for others, and they want to give back to the world.
The role of Principal, Shenton College will appeal to either an experienced principal or an aspiring leader seeking to make their mark and build on their career with exceptional results. You will inspire others with your strong and collaborative leadership and you will drive the vision for this unique Independent Public School.
You will be supported by a committed and cohesive leadership team and you will benefit from a range of quality community partnerships with engaged stakeholders. Together with your team, you will foster a high performance and high care environment for students, staff, parents and the community.
Working in partnership with parents and students, and with the strategic input of our community, you will lead the school to help young people become confident young adults ready to fulfil their dreams.
Shenton is a frontrunner in gifted and talented education through our well-known and awarded GATE program, and we’re consistently successful in a wide range of sporting, cultural, and community based co-curricular events at state, national and international levels.
Far from an institution of routine testing and grades, we’ve created an environment where students obtain real-world knowledge and understanding, and develop the emotional and social intelligence needed not only to become active life participants, but also to be remarkable leaders.
Our history and culture emphasise excellence across all areas of education, not just within a particular program. Through this drive, and our commitment to the “whole child”, we empower individual students to reach their true potential, enabling them to achieve fulfilment in pursuits that inspire them, and in turn, to contribute positively to society.
Shenton College welcomes all students and parents - we’re a proudly public, proudly coeducational school, and we’re honoured to be recognised as one of Australia’s best.
