The Resources Safety Divisionis establishing a pool of suitably experienced Team Leaders who would like to be considered for placements within the next 12 months. A number of positions may become available as vacancies arise over the 12 month life of the pool. There are currently four Perth based positions, one Collie based and one Kalgoorlie based position available. Please state in your application which location you are applying for.
Remuneration package of up to $188,341 per annum*
*Remuneration is based on salary, superannuation and attraction and retention incentive (ARI) payments received on the achievement of performance indicators. ARI payments are subject to annual review which may result in a rise or fall in the value of these payments.
The position
Already an inspirational leader, you will have extensive mining industry knowledge, an ability to promote personal integrity, drive and support a sense of purpose and direction across all levels.
Reporting to the Regional Inspector, this senior role is an integral player within a multi-disciplinary team (consisting of various disciplines of engineering, OSH, mechanical and electrical trades), to drive WA safety management reforms and engage with a range of stakeholders across the mining sector. You will be tertiary qualified, have a genuine commitment to deliver excellence in the delivery of regulatory services, hands-on experience with change and people management.
Job Requirements/Capabilities
To undertake this role successfully you require:
- Demonstrated experience in providing leadership and team building to encourage high performing teams in a multi-disciplinary environment to achieve strategic objectives and culture change.
- Experience and knowledge of the mining industry in an Australian or International context, and thorough knowledge of OSH with a mining focus is essential to the role.
- A degree relevant to the operations of the resources sector and/or, post graduate/vocational qualifications, or training in occupational, safety and health, or risk management.
- Possession of a current WA 'C' Class Drivers Licence.
