The Department for Child Protection and Family Support is the key Western Australian government agency responsible for child protection and family support services.

- support Families and individuals at risk or in crisis
THE POSITION
The Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist performs within the framework of the Australian Psychological Society’s Code of Ethic using clinical expertise.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Carrying out psychological assessments of children, adults and families.
- Undertaking preventative and therapeutic interventions at individual, family, group and community levels.
- Advising and consulting with departmental staff on psychological aspects of casework and community interventions.
- Preparing and presenting psychological reports for courts, case conferences and other relevant purposes.
CONDITIONS
This is a permanent, full time (75 hours per fortnight) opportunity (part time opportunity may be considered)
Suitable applicants for this position may be considered for future similar vacancies that may arise within the next twelve (12) months.
Applicants must have a 2-year post graduate master’s degree in Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology or approved equivalent and eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and specialist endorsement with AHPRA for this position
Supervision by endorsed AHPRA supervisors can be provided for registrars.

All overseas qualifications must have been assessed by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a certified copy of the assessment outcome letter from the APS must be submitted with your application. You must be eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and have specialist endorsement with AHPRA for this position.
