Carine Senior High School (SHS) is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic individual to join their teaching team.
The Literacy Specialist will work alongside the Learning Centre Manager to plan, assess, teach and report on Literacy Programs for students in Years 7-11. Part of the role will involve identifying students needing extra support in literacy and liaising with students and parents regarding literacy results. The successful applicant will also collect, organise and facilitate transition data from incoming Year 6 cohorts. The successful applicant will be involved in the professional developments of teachers to implement strategies for working with students requiring differentiated curriculum.
Carine SHS is a co-educational secondary school, located in the north west suburbs of Perth close to the ocean and approximately 15 kilometres from the city centre. The school was established in 1973, reaching senior high school status three years later. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be appointed to other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
