Hammond Park Primary School is seeking enthusiastic qualified teachers to join their
existing dynamic, hard-working and committed team.
Hammond Park Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of enthusiastic, innovative and motivated K – Year 6 teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2017 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2018. Placements can be made from the pool at any time for commencement within the 2017 school year, up to the end of Term 1, 2018.
Suitable applicants will be passionate educators who are committed to progressing literacy and numeracy achievement for students through the effective use of whole-school approaches and explicit teaching. They will create an effective, engaging and inclusive learning environment based on high expectations, best practice, early intervention and integrated use of the West Australian Technologies Syllabus and ICT for learning. Suitable applicants will have a strong understanding of the West Australian Curriculum, the Early Years Learning Framework and the Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines. They will use assessment, particularly On-Entry Assessment data and NAPLAN data, to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs, set targets and plan for differentiated learning opportunities for all students in their class.
Applicants will work collaboratively with the administration team, other teachers, support staff and the wider community as part of a growing team to support the ongoing development of this exciting school in its fourth year of operation. It is also expected that applicants will display a willingness to take on additional roles beyond the classroom, have a positive attitude and the ability to anticipate and adapt to change, showing initiative, flexibility and creative problem-solving to produce the best learning opportunities for students. They will be key contributors in consolidating the well-established positive learning environment focused on improving student outcomes through the ongoing development of their expertise and knowledge with a commitment to continuous learning and engagement with current research.
Hammond Park PS is located in the suburb of Hammond Park. It opened its doors as an Independent Public School (IPS) for the first time in February 2014. The school enrolment continues to increase as a result of the ongoing release of land developments in Hammond Park. The school enjoys a positive reputation in the local area as a leading educational facility that is at the forefront of 21st century educational innovation. Close links have been forged with the Cockburn Central Education Network (CCEN). Teachers will work collaboratively across the Network learning from their colleagues in neighbouring schools.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
