The Department of the Premier and Cabinet is looking for adaptable and experienced candidates interested in working in the role of Principal Policy Officer within the Cabinet and Policy Division (CAPD).
This Division is comprised of a number of policy areas including Economic and Deregulation, Community and Human Services, and the Whole of Government, Future Directions and Strategic Projects.
The Principal Policy Officer is responsible for providing high level policy support and advice, and undertaking complex research and analysis in relation to the development, coordination, implementation and review of Government policies from a cross-portfolio perspective.
This position is required to work collaboratively with stakeholders and have an understanding of the current political framework to successfully identify required policy outcomes and issues that could affect future implementation.
Applicants who are found suitable will be placed in a pool from which temporary and/or permanent appointments may be made, with one position immediately available. The pool will operate for 12 months from the date of the initial placement in the pool.
