The Department of Education Services provides a number of services across the areas of:
- Regulation (registration around accreditation) to ensure compliance with state legislation and enhance public confidence in the quality and integrity of education and training.
- Review of Independent Public Schools.
- Funding to the non‑government school and university sectors and for various scholarship schemes.
- Policy, research, planning and legislative advice to support the Ministers, government and other bodies through the provision of expert advice to position the education and training systems to meet the needs of the state.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be appointed to other similar vacancies in accordance to Commissioners Instructions No 2. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position undertakes a key quality assurance role in support of the department’s payroll function.
This position is responsible for ensuring that in-house learning and organisational development solutions are facilitated and effectively delivered. The position undertakes research, analysis, implements improvements and reports on payroll practices, processes and systems and also provides a customer-focused advisory support service to all levels across the Department.
Provides project management for initiatives, program and projects relating to the development of the workforce. Undertakes data extraction, collation of the relevant data from a range of sources, analyses and evaluates the data and provides reports to support the Branch in the development of strategies aimed at enhancing the workforce capacity.
