This position sits within the Department's Compliance and Enforcement area and is responsible for coordinating the administration of the Department's landfill levy regulation function including payments of landfill levy, processing of landfill levy exemptions and management of financial assurances required under the legislation. This position is also responsible for the development and implementation of systems and processes to enable the above and for effective management of internal and external stakeholder relationships in respect of landfill levy. In addition, this position contributes to the development and implementation of policies relating to landfill levy collection and management and is responsible for the preparation of correspondence, reports and briefing papers as required. The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills, experience in project management and the development and maintenance of databases. The position requires the ability to work autonomously while contributing to Departmental objectives. Experience in auditing or environmental compliance delivery would also be advantageous.

4.1 The coordinated and integrated delivery of compliance activities as principle component of the Department’s regulatory function.
4.2 The state-wide management of the Department’s landfill levy compliance function.
4.3 The development, maintenance and sharing of expertise to improve knowledge and build capability throughout the Department.
4.4 Other duties as required.
