Kimberley Training Institute is seeking to establish a pool of suitable candidates to fill vacancies as and when they arise. Appointments may be made at any of our campuses – Kununurra, Wyndham, Fitzroy Crossing, Halls Creek, Derby or Broome; on a full-time or part-time; and permanent, fixed-term or casual basis.
The appointment pool will operate for 12 months from the date of the initial placement in the pool. If the Appointment Pool is exhausted prior to the pool expiry date, we reserve the right to supplement the pool through further advertising
Employment opportunities in similar positions within the Institute may also be offered to suitable applicants from this pool.
At present there is one vacant Horticulture Lecturer position available for commencement in January/February 2016. (1.0 FTE, Kununurra Campus, 12 month fixed-term contract with the possibility of a further fixed-term contract or permanency.) It is envisaged that that there will be Broome based, temporary (casual or fixed-term) opportunities available in 2016.
Special Conditions: Regular travel away from home base, including overnight stays, is a requirement of this role.
In this lecturing role your main focus is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. In order to maintain quality educational services, you will be required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in vocational fields through professional development, to provide up-to-date information and advice to the institute, industry and students.
