Help us find Water in the data. The Department of Water (DoW) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced motivated, enthusiastic and highly organised Senior Scientific Officer – Groundwater Modeller to fill a full-time, fixed-term contract through to 30 June 2016 in the Perth CBD.
Senior Scientific Officer – Groundwater Modeller is responsible for developing and maintaining groundwater models including the analysis of these models.
You will be a trusted subject matter expert, able to apply scientific techniques to the analysis of groundwater data sets and models. You will have strong communication skills with the ability to interact with water industry and other senior officers across a wide variety of organisations. You will show leadership through coaching and teaching others on groundwater modelling.
You will hold a Bachelor of Science Degree with desired subject(s) or equivalent experience in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Geology, Geophysics, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science/Engineering or related quantitative field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in hydrogeology or geology, would be beneficial but not required.
