Great Southern Institute of Technology is seeking to appoint a lecturer to deliver courses in the Certificates in Spoken and Written English (CSWE). The program requires the lecturer to have a formal qualification in Teaching English as Second Language (ESL). This must be either:
- A recognised bachelor degree and a recognised post graduate TESOL qualification (resulting from a course of study with no less than 100 contact hours), OR
- a Bachelor of Education with a TESOL major or equivalent that includes a practicum
Classes are held during the day but may include evening work at a later date. To be eligible for employment you need have a minimum of 5 years vocational or lecturing experience in the industry.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout our agency. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of six (6) months from the initial date of the appointment.
Should no suitable applicant be identified, or an offer declined, the panel may search for further applicants beyond the closing date.
Eligibility for employment at Great Southern Institute of Technology is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. As this position will, or is likely to involve contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.
